My Top Three Reads

Ever since I could read I have had a huge affinity for books and the worlds and lives of the characters that I am able to delve into. I have compiled a list of my top three books I have ever read. If I could only take 3 books to read for the rest of my life, these are the ones that I would choose, and if you haven’t read them already, I strongly suggest that you do!

Number 1. Paper Towns by John Green – This book absolutely ranks as my number one. John Green is an incredible author who weaves a captivating tale of revenge, friendship, and adventure. I don’t want to giveĀ  the plot away but as each unpredictable even comes your way you won’t put this down until well after 3 am when you have finshed the story.

Number 2. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta – This novel is based in Australia and connects two fate twisting stories together, one from 2o something years ago, and one in present day. That coupled with the mystery of the story and completely out of the ordinary wars between schools makes this a powerful, heartwarming story. It’s one of those books where you have no idea what is going on until the end of the story when everything unfolds, and I love it that way. This is a book I will always return to.

Number 3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling – Well, I promised myself I couldn’t entirely fill the list with Harry Potter books, but they all definitely rank as my favorite series. I decided to choose the strongest of the stories as my favorite. I absolutely love the finale of these books and the world they have created for me. From the intense battle scenes, to the happy endings and the loss of favorite characters, to the unexpected Horcrux, this is the book I read every school break and summer, because it is just that wonderful.
